ALBA ROSA is a legendary brand in Gyaru history, mostly associated with the Manba and Yamanba substyles. it's known for its iconic hibiscus patterns and coats !! it first launched in 1975 in japan. the brand's concept was clear from the start — in a 1990 magazine, they used a famous expression :
despite launching in 1975, they didn't release clothes until 1980, they were only selling accessories in those 5 years !! their evolution was pretty slow actually, their first store opened in 1985 in Yokohama's Sotetsu Joinus.
in 1991, ALBA ROSA released their first ever hibiscus print design, which later became the brand's trademark ! one year later, in 1992, the iconic blanket coat was released !! in 1996, Marui Yokohama East Entrance Store opened a new ALBA ROSA store, and created the yellow shopping bag, that became a small trend ! (and which i would love to possess ¬‿¬)
the brand closed all stores in 2005, probably due to the fall of the Manba, Sentaa and similar substyles who carried the brand's popularity

i really love ALBA ROSA ! the only thing i own is a __ haha
if the fashion fairy existed, my closet would have plenty of their clothes and items !! i love their diversity in terms of products
ALBA ROSA's biggest problem is counterfeit !!! they have been struggling with it since the 90s, so even if an item looks old, you can't be sure it's an authentic :( on their official site, they also warn us not to buy on temu !! the fake products really affected their brand.
